- Make sure your pc charges enough for the first time. (Do not power on your pc for the first time without plugging in first)
- Avoid overcharging. As soon as the battery is full, unplug charger.
- If your battery is removable, remove it and use only the power supply. (Do not remove the battery when your laptop is on and plugged. Switch it off, unplug the power supply, remove the battery the plug in the power supply)
- Buy original…and you won’t complain.
- Make sure your pc is running well and have no problems like overheating as this will drain your battery hence reducing your battery life.
- reduce screen brightness whenever possible
- reduce volume whenever possible
- Reduce screen off timeout whenever possible
- Set the minimum time for the pc to go to “sleep”
- Choose what closing the lid does- choose hibernate to save power when you have closed the lid.
- Lastly create a power plan under… Control Panel>>Hardware and Sound>>Power Options>>Create a Power Plan
