Amapiano King – Kabza De Small – is trending after receiving his Metro FM Music awards. The award-winning DJ and producer ditched the prestigious awards ceremony but still won four awards. Undoubtedly, Kabza De Small and Mthunzi Ndimande were the night’s biggest winners. His smash hit Imithandazo, from his collaborative album with Mthunzi Ndimande, Isimo, outshined several smash hits, including Horns in the Sun and Mnike in several categories.
However, Kabza De Small and Mthunzi Ndimande featured Young Stunna, DJ Maphorisa, Sizwe Alakine, and Umthakathi Kush on the smash hit. Kabza De Small did not attend the awards despite being one of the most nominated stars.
The smash hit won Best Collaboration, Best Amapiano, Song of the Year and Best Produced Album for Isimo. Mthunzi Ndimande accepted all the awards they had won. However, barely two weeks after the Metro FM Music Awards, Kabza De Small finally received his awards at a ceremony close friends and family attended. Several stars, including Oskido and Young Stunna, were at the ceremony that celebrated Kabza’s big wins, but Mzansi was puzzled not to see DJ Maphorisa in the picture.
DJ Maphorisa was not seen in the now-viral videos, leaving many convinced that the two had a fallout as alleged. The videos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet.
Fans were quick to ask about DJ Maphorisa’s whereabouts. An X user posted, “When he ditched Phori, he started winning.” However, another user commented, “I hope Maphorisa stays where he is because our grootman is doing well without him. DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small have been winning big together since 2018. However, it was reported that the two had a fallout last year. Rumour mill has it that their fallout came against the backdrop of DJ Maphorisa’s Live Instagram sessions.

The muso bragged of thrusting Kabza De Small into the limelight despite meeting Kabza De Small as an established singer. Against these daring claims, Kabza De Small reportedly walked away.
However, against these daring allegations, the two have made it known that they were still a duo. Amid their fallout rumours, the two confirmed a new album on the cards.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the self-proclaimed Amapiano King posted, “Scorpion Kings album dropping soon.” However, little is known about when their album will be released. Over the years, the two have dropped smash projects since joining forces.
