RIP: Flags to fly at half-mast in honour of Justice Yvonne Mokgoro


President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a directive to for all flags at main flag stations to fly at half mast in honour of former Constitutional Court judge, Justice Yvonne Mokgoro.

She passed away last week at the age of 73 in hospital.

Her family said that she suffered health setbacks after suffering multiple injuries in a serious car crash near Kimberley last year.

Mokgoro was the first black woman to be appointed to the apex court in 1994 to 2009.
She has been afforded a special official category 1 funeral.

Presidency Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said that further details about her funeral which will be held in Johannesburg will be communicated.
