Police in Mpumalanga say they are not expecting any protest action post the elections however are prepared for any eventuality.
With results trickling in by the minute, it is still unclear who will form part of the seventh administration.
At a media briefing the Chairperson of National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) in Mpumalanga, Semakaleng Manamela, mentioned the disruptions which took place during voting on Wednesday.
Manamela said that police in the province are fully-equipped and ready to tackle any lawlessness.
“All that we can say as SAPS is that we are ready and are on the ground. If we see any protests, then we will will deal with them.”
