Zimbabwe Seeks South Korea Teaching Deal

In related news, the Zimbabwean government has started negotiations with South Korea to create job opportunities for Zimbabwean English teachers. Zimbabwe aims to have its status as an English-speaking country officially recognized by the South Korean government, which would help local teachers find employment in South Korea.

This development was announced by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Dr Fredrick Shava during a ceremony for signing an Air Services Agreement.

“English is an official language in Zimbabwe and the sole medium of instruction at all levels of education,” he said.

Successful negotiations could bring significant benefits to Zimbabwe through remittances from Zimbabwean teachers employed in South Korea.
