Nyanga Man Mercilessly Tortures Wife After Boyfriend’s Phone Rings Outside Bedroom
In a shocking act of brutality, a man from Nyanga tortured his wife to death after her boyfriend’s phone rang outside their bedroom.
The accused, Farai Michael Madotsa (41) of Chihobvu village under Chief Saunyama, appeared before the Nyanga Magistrates’ Court facing a murder charge as defined under the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act. He has been remanded in custody.

Tragic Sequence of Events
The court heard that last Tuesday, Madotsa came home and went to bed with his wife, Penelope Yeukai Nyabanga. Later that evening, he was awakened by a cell phone ringing outside their bedroom. He got out of bed to investigate and saw an unknown male person.
Upon being spotted, the unknown man ran away. When Madotsa confronted his wife, she initially denied the allegations before eventually confessing after he had slapped her thrice in the face.

Nyabanga then went on to show him where she used to have adulterous relations with her boyfriend. She then led him to a broken-down vehicle where unused condoms were found.
Enraged, Madotsa ordered his wife to lie on the ground face down and proceeded to assault her repeatedly with a log, pouring cold water on her at intervals.
The brutal attack is said to have lasted for an hour before Madotsa took his wife inside and placed her on the cold floor, where she tragically died.
