16-Year-Old Girl Forced into S*xual Exploitation in South Africa After Getting Trafficked by a Rimbi Bus Conductor

In a disturbing case of human trafficking, a 16-year-old girl from Murewa was trafficked to Cape Town, South Africa and sold into s*xual slavery by a Rimbi bus conductor.

The Shocking Allegations

Levie Tsongo, 37, from Kuwadzana, is accused of orchestrating a human trafficking scheme in collusion with an individual known only as “Simba” in Cape Town.

According to ZimLive, on May 22, 2024, Tsongo and other accomplices who remain at large devised a plan to traffic the 16-year-old victim for the purpose of s*xual exploitation.

Tsongo’s Role in the Scheme

Tsongo was reportedly tasked with identifying and transporting the 16-year-old victim from Murewa to Cape Town. After receiving US$20 as bus fare, Tsongo accompanied the young girl to Cape Town and handed her over to Simba.

Simba reportedly took her to his place of residence and claimed her as his wife. Tragically, the 16-year-old victim was then subjected to s*xual exploitation.

At the time of reporting, the 16-year-old victim is allegedly still being held captive by Simba in Cape Town.

Rimbi Bus Conductor Arrested For Human Trafficking

Tsongo has since been arrested. He appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi, who released him on $100 bail. The police have since launched an investigation into the disturbing incident and are conducting a manhunt for the other suspects who remain at large.

The shocking human trafficking case has left many Zimbabweans deeply concerned for the 16-year-old victim’s safety and wellbeing.

Lock the monster for good.. human trafficking is deplorable especially of these young vulnerable girls.. that bus company must have its licence suspended whilst this case is ongoing.. obviously this is not the first time this murderer has done it.. more girls have been sold..
