In a statement shared on their various social media handles, Ster-Kinekor Zimbabwe announced the closure of its Sam Levy’s cinema.
They revealed that their lease agreement at the Sam Levy Village branch was expiring on the 30th of June.

“We regret to inform you that our Sam Levy Village Cinema lease agreement, which lasted for an impressive 10 years, is expiring on the 30th of June 2024. Unfortunately, the landlord has made the unexpected decision to repurpose the space and shift its focus away from cinema.”
Ster-Kinekor Seeks New Location After Losing Sam Levy Village Cinema Lease
Ster-Kinekor Zimbabwe revealed that despite the closure of their cinema branch in Sam Levy Village, they are actively seeking a new location to establish another cinema.
“Nevertheless, the legacy is far from over and we are actively searching for a new, suitable location to carry on with our innovative business model.
Our hearts are full of gratitude for the memories and joy this cinema has brought to many over the years. For now, we look forward to continue welcoming you to our Bulawayo and Joina City cinemas whilst we finalize on our next location/s.
