Zimbabweans Express Outrage After Warriors Lose to Lesotho
Zimbabweans are breathing fire on social media after the national football team the Warriors lost Lesotho at the Africa’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Football fanatics are blaming Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) for the Warriors defeat.
Lesotho Claim Historic Victory Over Zimbabwe in World Cup Qualifying Match
Lesotho beat Zimbabwe 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Lesotho secured their first win in the World Cup Qualifiers for the first time in over a decade.
The result places Zimbabwe on the bottom of the table with two points, while Lesotho moves on top of the Group C of Africa’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers at least for now, with five points.
ZIFA Blamed for Warriors’ Disastrous World Cup Qualifying Loss
The Warriors humiliating defeat has left Zimbabweans disappointed and outraged. Taking to social media, Zimbabweans blamed ZIFA and the interim coach Tapera for the Warriors defeat and poor performance.
Their post after the Warriors lost the game triggered furore from football fans.

Zimbos accused the football fraternity of being disorganized and for appointing a coach whom they claimed was not experienced enough to handle a national team. They called on the disbandment of Warriors and implored FIFA to ban the national team from competing again.
