Popular Mzansi singer, and media personality, Mawhoo is making headlines after revealing she deserves a girlfriend allowance of R500 000 or more. The amapiano sensation made the claims as she showed off her beauty during Kabza De Small’s Red Bull Symphonic show in Johannesburg.
Mawhoo was part of the star-studded lineup that performed along Kabza De Small.
However, against the show’s backdrop, she has been making headlines for her epic performance and backstage remarks. No doubt, Mawhoo didn’t just deliver a star performance, but her outfits also left social media abuzz.

However, in one of the now-viral clips, she said she deserves at least R500 000 in girlfriend allowance or even more. The video has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet, with many flooding X with their two cents.
Her banging body and youthful looks convinced many that she was worth the money. Some even gushed about her youthful looks as they incorporated her age into the mix.
Her sentiments come barely a few months after she made it known that she usually gets at least R500 000 as a girlfriend allowance in most of her relationships. Mawhoo also said that small amounts do not move her since she makes a fortune from her booming career.
A few months ago, Mawhoo revealed that several international A-listers, including Lily Wayne and Jay-Z, had slipped into her DMs. Despite getting a backlash, she went on to share screenshots of some of their alleged chats.
While on Podcast and Chill with MacG, controversial influencer Cyan Boujee once revealed that she received R50 000 as a weekly allowance. This amounts to R200 000 a month, R300 000 less than Mawhoo’s expectation.
However, despite Mawhoo being one of the most vocal celebrities on the controversial topic, many A-listers often share their thoughts.
While speaking on Cocktail Hour with Boity, Mihlali Ndamase revealed that she once received R50 000 as an allowance. The social media baddie said, “I once had a girlfriend allowance, and shame it was cute. He used to give me R50k a month.”
However, celebrated media personality Boity Thulo said R450 000 was doable to her. Boity said, “If you give me R450k per month, I won’t bother you[sic].” After all, girlfriend allowances have become a global trend that Mawhoo and other SA celebrities haven’t been spared from.
