Taking to X, formerly Twitter, ZIFA shared the list of the Warriors squads showing the names of the footballers who are going to represent Zimbabwe at COSAFA.

However, it turns out the squad includes 5 players from Manica Diamonds, which happens to be the football club Jairos Tapera coaches and four from are from Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Outrage Erupts Over Dominance of Manica Diamonds and Ngezi Platinum Players in Warriors COSAFA Roster

Reacting to the post, Zimbabweans expressed frustrations with ZIFA and Warriors coach Jairos Tapera

Social media users questioned why the Warriors squad is full of Manica Diamonds and Ngezi Platinum players. Netizens accused coach Jairos Tapera of favouritism and nepotism as it emerged that one of the players has the same surname as him. Soccer fans argued that they should have just called the team Manica Diamonds Warriors.

This is nonsense of the highest order , no coach in the history of the warriors has ever selected 5 players from one team and 4 players from another team !!!!!!!
