Chelsea have signed Portuguese midfielder Renato Veiga from FC Basle on a seven-year contract, with an additional one-year option included, the Premier League club said on Friday.
The transfer fee for the 20-year-old was not disclosed, but British media say Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea paid about 14 million euros ($15.26 million) to the Swiss side. Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
