Namibia Announces Changes to Visa Procedures

As part of the changes, visa fees for travellers from non-African Union (AU) member states will be increased from N$1,200 to N$1,600 per person. However, travellers from AU member states will continue to pay the existing fee of N$1,200.

To simplify the process, the “visa on arrival form” will be merged with the “arrival form,” and the “departure form” will be discontinued. This move is expected to make entry and exit procedures more efficient for visitors.

In a recent video clip, Deputy Minister Lucia Witbooi emphasized the importance of these changes, highlighting the goal of enhancing security while maintaining a welcoming environment for tourists and business travellers.
