Zimbabwean Rapper Stunner Arrested For Assaulting Daughter’s Nine-year-old Friend

Controversial rapper Desmond Chideme, popularly known as Stunner, was recently arrested and dragged to court after being accused of assaulting a nine-year-old girl.

The incident allegedly occurred while the girl was playing with Stunner’s daughter.

Stunner appeared before Mbare magistrate Batsirai Zishiri to answer to the charges.

Incident Details Emerge

According to the court records seen by The Herald, the incident took place on August 25.

Stunner’s daughter was reportedly playing with her friend, and the two were reportedly chasing each other when Stunner’s daughter fell and began to cry.

It is alleged that Stunner reacted by assaulting the young girl, going so far as to pull out her braids during the altercation.

Stunner’s Arrest and Legal Representation 

The disturbing incident was reported to the police, which led to Stunner’s subsequent arrest. Stunner is facing assault charges related to the incident.

The case has been postponed, with the trial set to commence on September 12.

A History of Legal Troubles: Stunner’s Past Assault Allegations

Meanwhile, this is not first time, Stunner has landed in trouble with the law for assault.

In 2023, the musician was reportedly arrested in Durban, South Africa, following an incident involving his ex-girlfriend. Sources claim that Stunner and his ex were out partying when a man they were with made advances toward her. She allegedly responded by giving the man her phone number, which enraged Stunner and led to a physical altercation.

Stunner also faced allegations of gender-based violence in 2022. He was taken to court after being accused of assaulting his then-wife, Dyonne Tafirenyika. However, he was acquitted of the charges.
