Green Bombers Invade Civil Service

Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training Minister, Tinoda Machakaire, announced that several graduates from the Youth Service in Zimbabwe have secured positions within the government, following a Cabinet directive that prioritizes them for recruitment into the civil service.
Machakaire made these remarks during the inaugural Youth Service graduation ceremony at Dadaya Youth Training Centre on Thursday. He emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “This intake conducted a careers’ day that resulted in some of the trainees being absorbed by various government departments such as the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe National Army, Zvishavane Town Council, Zimpapers, and the Public Service Commission.”
He further clarified that the recruitment aligns with the Cabinet directive, which mandates that “holders of the Youth Service in Zimbabwe certificate be given priority in admission into all State institutions and appointment into the public service and State enterprises.”
In his address, Machakaire stressed the importance of the Youth Service program as a key element of youth development and empowerment in Zimbabwe. “This programme is an important component of youth development and empowerment in Zimbabwe,” he concluded.
