Zanu PF In Another Urgent Meeting
By Political Reporter- Zanu PF has announced a sudden Politburo meeting scheduled for tomorrow, fueling speculation about the deepening factionalism and power struggles within the ruling party.
The meeting, described as the final Politburo session for the year, has no stated agenda.
Party Secretary for Information and Publicity Christopher Mutsvangwa confirmed the development, emphasizing the urgency of the gathering.
“Acting Secretary-General of Zanu PF, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, is advising all members of the Politburo that the meeting is on Thursday, 19 December, at 2 PM at Zanu PF Headquarters,” said Mutsvangwa.
He further instructed all members to be seated by 1:45 PM.
The sudden call for this meeting follows months of escalating tensions within Zanu PF.
Factions aligned with President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vice President Constantino Chiwenga have been vying for control, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and speculation about the party’s future direction.
Analysts believe this meeting could be a stage for last-minute manoeuvring as key players position themselves ahead of next year’s political calendar.
