Marvelous Nakamba has received a major boost from new Luton Town coach Jack Wilshere ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nakamba is part of the Warriors’ preliminary squad and is expected to make the final selection for the tournament, which will take place this month in Morocco.
The Warriors captain returned to Luton Town’s first XI on Wednesday, his third start of the season and his first under Wilshere.
He featured in the EFL Trophy Round of 16 match against Exeter City, helping his side to a convincing 4–0 victory and progression to the next stage.
The appearance was also Nakamba’s third of the season for Luton Town.
The midfielder missed the early part of the campaign due to a fitness issue and continued to be sidelined at club level, despite featuring for the Warriors.
