CAPS United crashed out of the 2025 Chibuku Super Cup after a 2-0 defeat to MWOS in the first round on Saturday.
Second-half goals from Nigel Mutinha and Arthur Banda secured MWOS a historic place in the quarter-finals.
A frustrated Ian Bakala admitted the result was a setback but vowed to refocus on the league campaign.
The gaffer said: “I’m very disappointed with the result, but at the same time you have to see where the team is coming from. We started well, and anything like this can happen. We now need to focus on the league and fight to get wins.”
Since Bakala’s arrival, CAPS have climbed out of relegation danger and now sit 10th in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
