Highlanders coach Pieter De Jongh has called for fair officiating ahead of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 31 encounter against Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
The two sides will meet in a potentially explosive fixture, with only two points separating them on the log.
Dynamos are currently on a seven-match unbeaten run and recently moved out of the relegation zone.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, De Jongh referred to Dynamos’ controversial match against Ngezi Platinum Stars in the previous round.
“I expect fair play,” he said. “What I saw in the game between Dynamos and Ngezi Platinum was not fair play. On Sunday, we need a good referee — not only for Highlanders but for both teams.
“It is very important for football in Zimbabwe that there is good refereeing.”
The coach added: “We play for victory, but so do our opponents. I hope for strong support from our great fans. I think it will be a full house.
“It’s the biggest game in Zimbabwean football — there’s no debate about that.”
