Highlanders and Dynamos share spoils in Battle of Zimbabwe

Highlanders and Dynamos played out a 1-1 draw in the final league installment of the Battle of Zimbabwe on Sunday.

The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 31 encounter took place at Barbourfields Stadium.

Bosso took the lead in the 17th minute when Brian Mlotshwa converted from Andrew Mbeba’s well-delivered free kick.

Dynamos equalised in the 38th minute through Jairos Kasondo’s strike.

The result extended Highlanders’ winless run to five matches, while Dynamos slipped back into the relegation zone, sitting 15th on the table.

At Rufaro Stadium, CAPS United returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Manica Diamonds, courtesy of Chris Magalus’ 68th-minute goal.

Meanwhile, Triangle United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chicken Inn, with Michael Charamba scoring the decisive first-half goal.
