
Senegalese footballer Cheikh Touré has tragically died after traveling to Ghana for what he believed was a professional club trial.
According to reports from Ghana, the 18-year-old was found dead after being deceived by individuals posing as football scouts. Investigations later revealed that the people who invited him were part of a criminal group and not affiliated with any football club.

The suspects allegedly held Touré hostage and demanded a ransom from his family, threatening to release him only after payment. Unfortunately, his family was unable to raise the required amount, and he was later found dead in Ghana.
Senegalese authorities have since launched an investigation into Touré’s kidnapping and death, working in collaboration with Ghanaian police. The joint task force aims to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Touré’s body is currently being repatriated to Senegal.
