Magesi FC coach provides update on Elvis Chipezeze injury

Magesi FC coach John Maduka has provided an update on the condition of goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze, who picked up an injury during their Betway Premiership match against TS Galaxy on Saturday.

Chipezeze was seen limping off the field, sparking fears that the Zimbabwean international could face a spell on the sidelines.

However, Maduka has allayed those concerns, confirming that the injury is not serious and that the veteran shot-stopper should be fit to face Orlando Pirates in the Carling Knockout Cup.

“He should be okay because we have at least 10 days before we play Orlando Pirates in the Carling Knockout Cup,” Maduka told FarPost.co.za.

“So, I think there is still enough time for him to recover. We are looking forward to the coming game.”

Magesi advanced to the Carling Knockout quarter-finals after a thrilling 3–2 away victory over AmaZulu FC, while Pirates booked their spot with a 1–0 win against Siwelele FC earlier this month.
