Hard Rock FC have been crowned the 2025 ZIFA Central Region Division One League champions, earning promotion to the 2026 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
The title was confirmed following a 2-0 victory over MSU FC in a match played at Baghdad Stadium, Kwekwe.
Benedict Sithole opened the scoring sheet in the seventh minute before veteran player Donald Ngoma’s 42nd strike that sealed the victory for the Kwekwe based outfit.
In a post match interview, veteran midfielder Devon Chafa said it wasn’t an easy road but it was worth it.
Chafa joined the team at the start of the season.
“I came here because, you know, the boss (Shepherd Chahwanda), he sold the good idea that he had and the project that he wanted to bring to Kwekwe. So I just said, let me just take up the challenge and see how it goes. But it was really a tough journey.”
Hard Rock became the third team to be promoted into the elite league after FC Hunters and Bulawayo Chiefs where confirmed Eastern Region and Northern Region champions respectively.
