Warriors prospect earns first Scotland U21 call-up

Warriors prospect Ethan Sutherland has received his first-ever call-up to the Scotland Under-21 national team.

Born in Scotland to a Scottish father and a Zimbabwean mother, Sutherland holds dual British-Zimbabwean citizenship.

The 19-year-old has been included in the squad set to face Gibraltar U21 and Bulgaria U21 during the November international window.

His club, Wolves, confirmed the news on their official website, writing:

“There is also a first-ever Scotland U21 call-up for Ethan Sutherland, who has earned his spot after an impressive run of 11 goal contributions in 15 matches for the Old Gold this season. He is set for two matches in the Euro Under-21 Qualifiers — away in Gibraltar and at home to Bulgaria.”

Despite his selection for Scotland, Sutherland remains eligible to represent Zimbabwe at senior international level.
