New Zimbabwe national team coach Marian Marinica has shared his first assessment of the Warriors squad.
The team is currently in camp in Saudi Arabia, preparing for two international friendly matches against Algeria and Qatar during the November international break.
Zimbabwe will face Algeria on Thursday, 13 November, in Jeddah, before travelling to Doha to take on Qatar on Monday, 17 November.
Speaking to ZIFA Media after the team’s first training session in Jeddah, Marinica expressed his satisfaction with the players’ attitude and commitment.
“The energy is excellent. The boys are showing hunger and professionalism. This camp is about setting standards — physical, tactical, and mental,” said Marinica.
Meanwhile, the entire squad is expected to be in camp by Tuesday.
