Marian Marinica identifies areas needing immediate improvement in Warriors team

Warriors coach Marian Marinica has revealed that his technical team is focusing on improving the team’s attacking play following the national side’s recent struggles in front of goal.

Marinica will take charge of the Warriors for the first time on Thursday when they face Algeria in a friendly match.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Romanian coach said: “We’ll be looking to address some of the areas that haven’t been right in the past – creating scoring opportunities, taking better shots, hitting the target with more danger, and, as much as possible, scoring goals.”

Commenting on the team’s preparations, Marinica added: “I’m very pleased with the players’ response, the staff’s commitment, and the support we’ve received from officials who are doing their best to assist us in every way possible.”

Zimbabwe will face Algeria in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before playing Qatar on 17 November in Doha.
