FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated Scottland FC for winning the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Mabviravira secured the title in their debut top-flight season, making them only the second team to achieve the feat since Independence, after Black Rhinos’ success in 1985.
In an official letter addressed to the Zimbabwe Football Association, Infantino expressed his delight at Scottland FC’s achievement, saying:
“By means of this letter, I am pleased to congratulate the new champions of Zimbabwe, Scottland FC!
“Their constant efforts and results throughout the season have paid off, resulting in this important title. Congratulations to each and every member of the team and of the club for this great achievement.
“While thanking you and your Association for your continuous support, work, and dedication for the development of football in your country, I look forward, dear President, to seeing you again soon.”
