Tawanda Maswanhise has expressed his excitement ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he is expected to feature for the Warriors.
Maswanhise, who was included in the preliminary squad announced on Wednesday, played a key role during the qualifying campaign and has become an integral part of Zimbabwe’s attacking set-up.
Speaking to Motherwell’s media team, the Warriors forward said he is hoping to have success in that tournament.
“It’s going to be my first big tournament with the national team, so I’m excited,” he said.
“I will be leaving [the club for AFCON camp] in the second week of December. Hopefully, I will have success in that tournament.”
The 23-year-old has been in excellent form this season, scoring eight goals in thirteen league matches and currently sitting as the joint top goal-scorer in the Scottish Premiership.
