Walter Musona drops bombshell after being omitted from Warriors squad

Walter Musona has taken to social media to declare that he is fully fit, after being dropped from the Warriors squad along with five other players due to injuries.

In a statement, ZIFA said Musona sustained a hamstring injury in the match against Algeria in Saudi Arabia and did not train ahead of the game against Qatar because of pain.

The association added that the Scottland FC captain had been instructed to bring an ultrasound scan report before camp, but he did not submit it on the first day of the local camp. As a result, he was sent for an MRI scan.

Musona responded to his omission by posting a picture of himself in a Warriors jersey on Facebook, captioned: “1000% fit.”

He still has a chance to return to camp once the official scan results are released, although this will depend entirely on the findings.

Meanwhile, the other players dropped from the preliminary Warriors squad are Tymon Machope, Xolani Ndlovu, Andrew Mbeba, Emmanuel Jalai and Junior Makunike.
