Eben Etzebeth’s FIERCEST fights [video]

Eben Etzebeth’s fate following an eye gouge attack on a Welsh player over the weekend has been delayed after a lengthy disciplinary hearing. The Springbok is facing a lengthy ban by World Rugby after he was accused of foul play during the match between the two countries.

The highest-capped player claims he was “provoked” into the incident, which took place in the 78th minute.

South Africa won the game 73-0.

Etzebeth is widely known as being a fierce and intimidating figure on the pitch. He’s also built a reputation for losing his cool against his opponents.

EBEN ETZEBETH DISCIPLINARY HEARING ON EYE GOUGE ATTACK

According to media reports, Eben Etzebeth argued in his disciplinary hearing that his actions – inflicting an eye gouge onto Welsh player Alex Mann – was “reckless but not intentional.”

During the five-hour sitting, the 34-year-old testified that he was provoked into the attack.

FIERCEST FIGHTS

It’s not the first time Eben Etzebeth has made headlines over a scuffle during a rugby match.

Over the years, various clips of the 34-year-old have gone viral on YouTube and social media….

Many rugby fans claim that Eben Etzebeth – who dreamt of being in the WWE –  inherited his “beast mode” from his late father and uncles.

In 2023, the rugby lock revealed the sad passing of his father, Harry, a seasoned wrestler. Harry was one of seven brothers known for their rugby and cricket skills. They were also infamously credited for their involvement in bar brawls.

His two eldest uncles, Cliffie and Skattie, were also professional fighters who were part of the Parow Wrestling Club, reports Rugby 365.

In 2019, just weeks before the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Etzebeth was also involved in his own bar brawl in Langebaan, in which he was accused of assault and using a racial slur against a group of coloured people.
