Warriors international Joey Phuthi has parted ways with English side Eastbourne Borough Football Club after just five months.
Phuthi joined the English sixth tier club on a free transfer in July after leaving Sheffield Wednesday in May.
A statement by the English side reads: “Eastbourne Borough Football Club can announce they have mutually agreed to part company with Joey Phuthi.
“The Zimbabwe international arrived at Connect Management Stadium this summer having come through the Academy at Sheffield Wednesday, where he scored five goals for the Under 21 team last season – the last being in a 3-0 win over Peterborough in March.”
The statement continued:”He had only made 13 appearances for The Sports – only four of them as starts – in all competitions this campaign and has now left for pastures new.
“We wish Joey all the best for the future.”
