The Warriors camp has suffered an injury setback after one of their senior players picked up a knock just two weeks before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to reports in England, national team vice-captain Marshall Munetsi sustained a calf injury during the match against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday. He received the knock shortly after coming on as an 85th-minute substitute.
Wolves coach Rob Edwards confirmed the injury at a press conference on Friday and revealed that the midfielder could miss Monday’s game against Manchester United.
The full extent of the injury is still unknown, and it remains unclear when Munetsi will return to action.
The midfielder is part of the Warriors squad for the 2025 AFCON.
