Warriors goalkeeper Washington Arubi believes the team has what it takes to progress beyond the group stage.
Zimbabwe, who are making their sixth appearance at the continental tournament, are yet to advance past the group phase.
The team’s best finish at the tournament came in 2006, when they finished in position 13, while their worst outing was a 21st-place finish in 2019.
Speaking in an interview in Morocco, Arubi said they will work hard to achieve their goals.
“As a team, we believe that we just have to go in with a positive mindset and work harder than we have been working. I’m really sure that we can manage to come out of the group,” said Arubi.
