English Championship side Sheffield United are reportedly monitoring Wolves midfielder and Warriors international Tawanda Chirewa.
According to SportsBoom, United are considering signing Chirewa during the January transfer window as they push for a top-half finish. The Blades are currently sitting 15th in the Championship table.
The publication further states that, given the team’s precarious position in the standings, head coach Chris Wilder would prefer to bring in players with experience of English football rather than wait for overseas signings to acclimatise.
However, it remains unclear whether the proposed move would be a permanent transfer or a loan deal.
Chirewa has not featured regularly for Wolves and was recently promoted to the senior team after spending most of his time with the academy.
Sheffield United are also tracking Nottingham Forest defender Willy Boly and Sunderland midfielder Habib Diarra.
