Brendan Galloway scored his first goal of the season for Plymouth Argyle in their 3-0 win over Burton in English League One on Sunday.
Galloway netted the opening goal in the 21st minute, connecting with a cross from a corner kick.
The effort was his first goal of the season and also marked a triumphant return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Tendayi Darikwa was also on target for Lincoln City in their 5-2 win over Peterborough in League One.
Darikwa netted a brace, with both goals coming in stoppage time at the end of either half.
On Saturday, Tawanda Maswanhise scored his ninth league goal of the season after netting in Motherwell’s 2-0 win against St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
The goal came in the 35th minute to break the deadlock. He received a through ball, made a well-timed run and slotted the ball into the far post.
The Warriors international also provided an assist for Motherwell’s second goal. He was substituted in the 73rd minute.
In the EPL, Tawanda Chirewa made a cameo appearance as Wolves recorded their first victory of the 2025/26 English Premier League season, a 3-0 win against West Ham.
Chirewa was introduced in the 87th minute to replace goalscorer Mateus Mané. His main involvement during the brief appearance was a defensive clearance just moments after coming on.
This marked his second appearance in the Premier League this season, with his first coming before his trip to Morocco for the AFCON.
Marshall Munetsi was not part of the Wolves matchday squad due to an injury sustained last month.
Italy-based defender Jordan Zemura did not feature in Udinese’s 1-0 loss to Como due to injury.
Reading’s Andy Rinomhota also missed action over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Bill Antonio and Munashe Garan’anga were not in action as their respective leagues are yet to return from the winter break.
