Former Warriors forward Evans Rusike has joined Botswana’s top-flight league side Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Rusike’s move comes after a two-year stay at now-relegated side Yadah FC.

The Zimbabwean international has signed a one-year, six-month contract, which will keep him at the club until mid 2027.

This marks Rusike’s first move to Botswana, having previously featured for clubs in Zimbabwe and South Africa.

A statement by Chiefs reads: “We are pleased to officially welcome Evans Rusike to the club.

“The highly experienced Zimbabwean striker joins us from Yadah FC on a one-year, six-month contract, further strengthening our attacking department. Rusike brings with him a distinguished professional career, having previously featured for top South African sides Sekhukhune United FC, Maritzburg United and SuperSport United, where he established himself as a reliable and respected forward.

“As a seasoned campaigner, his experience, professionalism, and leadership qualities are expected to add significant value both on and off the pitch. We are confident that his presence will positively contribute to the team’s objectives and ambitions moving forward.

“We wish Evans Rusike every success during his time with the club and look forward to a fruitful and successful partnership. Welcome to the family.”
