Newly promoted Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Hardrock FC are set for a massive squad overhaul after signing eleven new players ahead of their debut campaign in the top-flight.
Among the arrivals confirmed in the last 48 hours are Nigel Matinha, who was previously with MWOS FC, Misheck Ngwenya from FC Platinum, Edward Musena from Chicken Inn and Tinashe Mashaireni, who returns to the club following a short stint with the Gamecocks.
Hardrock have also secured the signatures of Marshall Gavaza and Samuel Makava from ZPC Kariba, Wilfred Madzungu and Elton Sibanda from Sheasham FC, while Oncemore Uriri has joined from Grain Tigers. The signings are completed by Prince Gwetu from Gwanda Pirates and Shelton Sibanda from Kwekwe United.
Hardrock earned promotion after winning the Central Region Division One title last season and will be competing in the Premier Soccer League for the first time in the club’s history.
The team is expected to use their newly constructed Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe as their home ground, although it remains unclear whether the facility will be ready in time for the start of the season in February.
