English League One side Lincoln City have made a decision regarding the future of Tendayi Darikwa.
The 34-year-old has been at the club since July 2024 and his contract was due to expire at the end of this season in June.
However, the club has moved to exercise a one-year option, which will extend Darikwa’s stay until June 2027.
Lincoln City said: “Lincoln City have continued their long-term squad planning by triggering options to keep Tendayi Darikwa, Reeco Hackett and Conor McGrandles. All three are now contracted with the Imps until June 2027.
“Captain Darikwa has made 80 appearances for the Imps since signing in July 2024, registering 17 goal contributions from right-back, including two goals in our last league game against Peterborough United. He also secured Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year in his first campaign at the club before being named club captain last summer.”
