Two-time capped Warriors international Joey Phuthi has joined a new club in England.

Phuthi has signed for English eighth-tier side Cleethorpes Town on a free transfer after leaving Eastbourne Borough.

The 21-year-old spent just six months at Eastbourne before departing the club by mutual consent.

Cleethorpes Town announced Phuthi’s arrival in a statement, saying: *“The Owls are please to announce the signing of Joey Phuthi.

“Phuthi moved from his native Zimbabwe to England at the age of 12. He began playing football with Wincobank Juniors, before moving to the academy of Sheffield Wednesday at 13 and worked his way up their youth categories.”*

The transfer marks Phuthi’s second non-league club since leaving Sheffield Wednesday seven months ago.
