Plymouth Argyle boss Tom Cleverley has hailed Brendan Galloway describing the Zimbabwe international as “an absolute warrior” after his performance over the weekend.

Galloway scored his third goal in four games in the 1-0 against Luton Town in the League One.

Galloway was also named in the English League One Team of the Week following the performance.

“Brendan’s an absolute warrior,” Cleverley told BBC.

“He’s a fantastic servant for this club, fantastic role model for our younger players, hugely respected by everyone.

“Goals are not his first priority – the clean sheet will probably please Brendan more – but we’re a dangerous set-piece team at the minute.

“It’s the details, the aggression, the timing, it’s not just luck, [it’s] well worked on with [coach] Matt Bevans and the guys – but Brendan seems to be getting on the end of a lot of them.”
