Munashe Garananga has left FC Copenhagen to move to the Scottish Premiership on a six-month loan.
Garananga has joined Hibernian FC on loan until the end of the season, signing the deal on transfer window deadline day on Monday.
Hibernian confirmed the move in a statement, with Head Coach David Gray commenting: “I am really pleased to add a player of Gara’s quality to the squad on Deadline Day.
“He has got some fantastic attributes which will stand him in good stead for this league. He is a quick, aggressive centre-back who is comfortable in possession and playing out from the back.
“I am looking forward to him joining the group and he is another strong addition to the team.”
Hibernian FC Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “We are delighted to be able to bring in an international player of Gara’s calibre from such an established club.
“I would like to thank Sporting Director Nils Koppen and all at FC Copenhagen who were involved in a very amicable and smooth deal.
“It was important for us that we brought another experienced player to the club in this window, and we are all looking forward to watching him in action between now and the end of the season.”
Garananga will play alongside fellow countryman Tawanda Maswanhise in the Scottish Premiership.
Maswanhise plays for Motherwell FC in the top-flight league.
