Tawanda Maswanhise produced another outstanding display after netting a brace for Motherwell against Livingston in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
The Warriors international opened the scoring in the 5th minute, firing home from close range before doubling his tally in the 28th minute.
Maswanhise was a constant threat throughout the match, registering a further five shots at goal. His movement troubled the hosts before he was eventually withdrawn in the 77th minute.
The brace saw Maswanhise extend his lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership scoring charts to 13 goals. It also stretched his scoring run to five consecutive matches across all competitions.
In Germany, Jonah Fabisch was also on target as his side FC Erzgebirge Aue lost 3-1 to relegation-threatened Havelse in the 3. Liga.
The goal came in stoppage time of the first half, opening the scoring in the game.
However, Erzgebirge went on to concede three goals in the second half, losing the match.
Fabisch played the full ninety minutes and was also booked in the second half.
In France, midfielder Marshall Munetsi won a late penalty for his new side Paris FC in their 2-2 draw against Marseille in Ligue 1.
The penalty was converted by Ilan Kebbal in second-half stoppage time to secure the result.
In England, Tawanda Chirewa made his debut for League One side Barnsley on Saturday.
Chirewa joined the club on Friday on a six-month loan deal from EPL side Wolves. He made his first appearance after coming on as a second-half substitute, playing the final ten minutes of their 3-1 victory against Stevenage.
Elsewhere in League One, Brendan Galloway was forced out of the game after picking up a groin injury during Plymouth Argyle’s 2-1 loss against Stockport.
Galloway started the match and was substituted in the 62nd minute after feeling pain in his groin.
Marvelous Nakamba was not part of the Luton Town squad that won 1-0 against Blackpool, while Reading FC midfielder Andy Rinomhota also missed action over the weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean Fusire remains sidelined with injury and was not available over the weekend.
In Belgium, Bill Antonio came on as a second-half substitute for KV Mechelen in their 2-2 draw against Oud-Heverlee Leuven, while Italy-based defender Jordan Zemura made his first start for Udinese since returning from injury last month .
He started in the 3-1 win against Verona in Serie A and was substituted in the 89th minute.
In South Africa, Daniel Msendami made his debut for Orlando Pirates in their 2-0 win against Magesi in the Betway Premiership.
