Scottland FC sign $1.5m deal with SA top-flight club Durban City

Scottland FC have announced the signing of a partnership deal with South African top-flight side Durban City.

The five-year partnership agreement is worth an initial US$1.5 million.

Scottland posted on social media, saying: “Zimbabwe champions Scottland FC and South African Premier Soccer League side, Durban City have entered into a partnership worth an initial US$1.5million.

“The collaboration is a regional football bridge between South Africa and Zimbabwe covering player development, tournaments and commercial growth.

“The shared goal is to develop world class talent and exchange technical expertise.”

Speaking at the deal-signing ceremony, the Scottland FC director Tonderai Sakupwanya said: “With Durban City, we’re looking at a club that have been playing football for the past twenty-two years.

“Here at Scottland, we stand to benefit from such experience in this partnership.”
