Marvelous Nakamba has made a decision on his future with Sheffield Wednesday beyond this season.
Nakamba joined the club at the start of this month on a free transfer after cancelling his contract with Luton Town. He signed a six-month contract until the end of the season.
The Warriors international made his debut over a week ago, coming on as a substitute against Swansea City, but is yet to make his first start for the club, having been an unused substitute in the clash with Millwall over the weekend.
With Sheffield Wednesday’s relegation to League One now confirmed, Nakamba said he would love to stay at the club beyond this season.
“Of course, but it obviously depends on my performances,” he said when asked about a future with the Owls, as cited by the Sheffield Star. “It’s also about us coming together, because it has to go both ways. I have to give everything and show myself on the pitch for the club. The club is really massive, and with time it’ll get back to where it belongs. I definitely wouldn’t say no to anything.”
Nakamba will now have 14 games to prove himself in the remaining part of the season.
