The Zimbabwe Football Association has confirmed that the Zimbabwe senior men’s team will compete in an invitational four-nations tournament.

The tournament will include fellow COSAFA sides Malawi, Botswana and Zambia.

It will be played during the first international window of the year, from 23–31 March. The competition will be hosted by Botswana at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.

ZIFA said in a statement: “The Football Associations of Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi and Zambia are pleased to confirm the participation of their respective Senior Men’s National Teams in the Botswana 4 Nations Tournament, scheduled for 23 to 31 March 2026 at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.”

The tournament will act as a platform for Warriors coach Marian Marinica to further assess his squad ahead of the start of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers later this year.

It will also be the first time the Warriors will be in action since exiting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on 30 December at the group stage.
