Warriors forward Junior Zindoga was on target as TS Galaxy produced a stunning performance to knock Mamelodi Sundowns out of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
Galaxy claimed a memorable 2-0 victory over the Betway Premiership giants to book their place in the quarter-finals of South Africa’s premier domestic knockout competition.
The hosts made a dream start to the encounter, with Sphamandla Ngwenya opening the scoring inside the opening 20 minutes.
Galaxy were awarded a penalty just after the half-hour mark when Seluleko Mahlambi was brought down inside the box.
Zindoga kept his composure and calmly slotted the ball home from the spot to double Galaxy’s lead.
It was a crucial contribution from the Warriors forward, who continues to grow in confidence in the South African top flight.
