The Mighty Warriors have qualified for the 2025 COSAFA Women’s Championship semi-finals after finishing as the best second-placed team in the group stage.
Because there are three teams in Group C, results against the bottom-placed sides in Groups A and B were disregarded for the purposes of that calculation.
Zimbabwe, who amassed seven points in Group B, qualified for the semi-finals with a total of four points after COSAFA rules in determining the best runner-up were applied.
The calculation saw the Botswana result not counted as they were placed at the bottom of the group.
The Mighty Warriors will face Group A winners South Africa women’s national football team in the semi-finals.
The match will be played at New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday. Kick-off is at 3pm CAT.
