Denver Mukamba finds new home after leaving Dynamos

Midfielder Denver Mukamba has found a new home after joining Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers Hunters FC, Soccer24 has learnt.

Mukamba joins the top-flight debutants as a free agent after parting ways with Dynamos FC at the end of last season. His short-term contract, signed during the mid-season transfer window in July, expired following the conclusion of the campaign.

The former Warriors international had initially targeted a move to Scottland FC after club owner Scott Sakupwanya, who also owned N’ombeyawora, expressed interest in resigning him.

However, the move did not materialise after new Scottland head coach Norman Mapeza decided against offering the midfielder a contract as he reshapes his squad for the upcoming campaign.

Following a recent structural shift, N’ombeyawora entered into a partnership with FC Hunters, with businessman Cuthbert Chitima coming in as the new chairman.

After the deal, FC Hunters moved quickly in the market and roped in Mukamba as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of their maiden season in the Premier Soccer League.

The 33-year-old midfielder brings a wealth of experience to the ambitious newcomers and will be expected to play a key role as FC Hunters look to establish themselves in the top-flight.
