The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the prize money structure for its two premier inter-club competitions, the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Clubs competing in the Champions League will battle for a staggering $6 million top prize, while the Confederation Cup winner will pocket $4 million.
CAF Champions League
CAF will disburse $19,600,000 in prize money for the Champions League.
The winners of Africa’s elite club competition will receive $6,000,000, with the runners-up set to earn $2,000,000.
Losing semi-finalists will each walk away with $1,200,000, while quarter-finalists are guaranteed $900,000.
Teams that finish third or fourth in their groups will receive $700,000 each.
CAF Confederation Cup
CAF has allocated a total of $11,900,000 for the Confederation Cup.
The champions will take home $4,000,000, while the runners-up will earn $1,000,000.
Semi-finalists are set to receive $750,000 each, with quarter-finalists guaranteed $550,000.
Clubs that finish third and fourth in their respective groups will pocket $400,000 apiece.
