Scottland FC lifted the 2026 Castle Challenge Cup after thrashing Dynamos FC 5-0 in a match played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The game marked the beginning of the 2026 season and featured the defending Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions and the 2025 Chibuku Super Cup winners.
Scottland took the lead in the 17th minute through Emmanuel Ziocha before Tymon Machope doubled their advantage five minutes before the break.
Mabviravira’s dominance continued in the second half, with Walter Musona making it three in the 67th minute to effectively put the contest beyond Dynamos’ reach.
Knowledge Musona added the fourth goal in the 75th minute, capping off a dominant spell.
Dynamos’ misery was compounded in the 84th minute when Collins Mujuru received his second bookable offence and was sent off, leaving his side to finish the match with ten men.
Substitute Khama Billiat then sealed the emphatic victory in the 90th minute, putting the icing on the cake with Scottland’s fifth goal.
The triumph marks Norman Mapeza’s first piece of silverware as head coach of Scottland. He was appointed ahead of the new season, replacing title-winning coach Tonderai Ndiraya.
